Magic Diet Pills. We've all let ourselves believe at one time,
or another that they would turn our soft cushy bodies, into
the beautiful super model bodies of our fantasies overnight.
We've sweated to the oldies, we've bought wonder home gyms, only
to let them gather dust under our beds, or wherever we could stuff
them out of site.
Yet we're still desperately trying to get our bodies back to where
they once were, or never have been before.

This past May I was talking to some women in an internet chatroom,
and we got on the subject of yep, you guessed it, our weight.
Well, they were telling me about the Atkin's
diet. I was of course doubtful. fter going to the website, and hymming and
procrastinating I decided, what the heck and tried it.
I bought the book and started reading, and realised that he wasn't offering
some magic diet pill, but and interesting new concept. (new to me anyway)
His diet is high protein low carb. I thought, yeah right.
Bacon and eggs for breakfast is going to get me to lose weight?
ha ha ha. But I thought, ok, I'll try this. ate less than 20
carbs a day. The first week was very tough. y body was reacting
to having hardly any carbs in it. But I used my willpower and stuck
to it. I wasn't hungry any more and I saw weightloss in the first week!
I still have about 42 more pounds to go, but since May, I've lost 33
pounds. I am no longer buying clothes in the plus size section!
Yes I do still have a way to go, but for the first time, I really do
have hope that I will get my body back to where it was before I had three
children.
